Custom Lube Oil Systems and Cooling Modules

ENGINEERED LUBRICATION AND COOLING SOLUTIONS

Custom Lube Oil Systems and Cooling Modules

Industrial gearbox overheating can reduce oil life, accelerate component wear and lead to unplanned downtime.

OEM Dynamics designs and builds complete lube oil systems that circulate, filter and cool oil in one integrated package. Every system is engineered around your equipment, operating conditions and project requirements.

Custom designed. Australian engineered and assembled. Supported by one supplier.

Protect Your Gearbox with One Integrated System

A lube module combines the three essential functions required to protect an industrial gearbox or other lubricated asset.

Oil Circulation

Maintains the required oil flow through the gearbox and lubrication circuit.

Oil Filtration

Removes contamination to help maintain oil cleanliness and protect internal components.

Heat Removal

Controls oil temperature to help maintain lubricant performance and equipment reliability.

Instead of coordinating separate suppliers for the cooler, pump, motor, filters, valves, instrumentation, fabrication and pipework, OEM Dynamics can combine these components into one fully assembled system.

The result is a complete package designed to meet the performance, maintenance and site requirements of your application.

One Supplier. One Integrated Solution.

From initial concept through to the completed package, OEM Dynamics brings the individual components together as one engineered system.

Reduce Project Complexity and Lead Time

A conventional lube oil system may involve multiple suppliers, each responsible for a different part of the project. This can create longer lead times, additional engineering interfaces and uncertainty about responsibility when support or replacement parts are required.

OEM Dynamics has extensive experience supplying heat exchangers, oil pumps, pump-and-motor packages, filtration equipment, valves, controls and cooler accessories.

We combine these proven components with custom fabrication, pipework, instrumentation and customer-specified equipment to create a complete solution from one supplier.

Depending on project scope and component availability, some systems can progress from concept to completed package in under six weeks.

Complete Package

Cooling, filtration, oil circulation, monitoring and protection integrated into one assembled system.

Custom Engineered

Designed around the oil, flow rate, temperatures, heat load, operating environment and performance requirements of your equipment.

Reduced Complexity

One supplier coordinates component selection, engineering, assembly & testing, reducing the number of suppliers your project team manage.

Local Support

Australian-based engineering, manufacturing support and access to replacement components when they are required.

What Is a Custom Lube Oil System?

A custom lube oil system is an engineered package that circulates, filters and conditions lubricating oil for industrial gearboxes, bearings and other rotating equipment.

Maintaining clean oil at the correct operating temperature and pressure helps protect internal components, maintain lubricant performance and support reliable equipment operation.

Unlike a fixed, off-the-shelf product, each OEM Dynamics system is configured around the actual duty and installation requirements of the project.

Design Inputs We Consider

  • Machinery and application
  • Oil type and viscosity
  • Current oil temperature
  • Required return-oil temperature
  • Required oil flow rate
  • Heat load to be removed
  • Allowable system pressure
  • Allowable pressure drop
  • Ambient air or cooling-water conditions
  • Filtration and cleanliness requirements
  • Available electrical supply
  • Monitoring and control requirements
  • Installation footprint
  • Corrosion and environmental conditions
  • Customer and site specifications

Components We Can Integrate

Each package can be configured using proven OEM Dynamics products, selected third-party equipment and customer-specified components.

Built for Industrial Applications

Custom lube oil systems can be designed for industrial gearboxes, crushers, mills, conveyors, mechanical drives, compressors, marine equipment, processing plant and other equipment requiring controlled oil circulation, filtration and cooling.

Systems can be configured with air-cooled or water-cooled heat exchangers and mounted on a fabricated frame or skid to suit the available installation space.

Each package can incorporate standard OEM Dynamics products, selected third-party equipment and customer-specified components.

Engineered Around Your Application

We combine standard, proven components with application-specific engineering to deliver a complete lube oil system that is easier to install, operate and maintain.

Matched to the Duty

Performance selected around the actual heat load, oil flow, temperatures and operating conditions.

Fewer Site Interfaces

Cooling, pumping, filtration, monitoring and fabrication are coordinated as one package.

Simplified Installation

Components can be assembled, piped and mounted before the package reaches site.

Ongoing Support

One supplier for technical assistance, replacement components and future system requirements.

STANDARD COMPONENTS. CUSTOM-ENGINEERED PACKAGE.

Heat Exchangers

Dynacool air-cooled or water-cooled heat exchangers selected to remove the required heat while meeting oil-flow and pressure-drop limits.

Pumps and Motors

Oil pumps and drive motors sized to provide the required circulation flow, system pressure and reliable operation for the application.

Filtration

Single or duplex filtration systems selected to achieve the required oil cleanliness, contamination control and maintenance arrangement.

Tanks and Reservoirs

Custom oil tanks, reservoirs, breathers, level indicators and monitoring equipment can be incorporated where required.

Valves and Bypass Protection

Thermal, pressure and flow-control valves can protect system components and manage oil through the cooling and filtration circuit.

Instrumentation and Sensors

Pressure gauges, temperature gauges, switches, transmitters and filter-condition indicators can be included in the package.

Pipework, Hoses and Frames

Pipework, fittings, flexible hoses, drip trays, protective screens and fabricated mounting frames can form part of the completed package.

Controls and Special Requirements

Electrical controls, site-monitoring connections, special coatings, stainless-steel construction and customer-specified components can be incorporated.

Duplex oil filtration system allowing filter maintenance while the lubrication system remains operating

Duplex Filtration for Continuous Operation

One filter housing can remain in service while the other is isolated for inspection, cleaning or filter-element replacement.

Maintainable Duplex Filtration

Duplex filtration can allow one filter housing to be isolated while oil continues to circulate through the second housing.

This arrangement can enable a filter element to be inspected, cleaned or replaced without stopping the complete lubrication system.

Visual and electronic filter-condition indicators can also be included. Electronic signals can be connected to the site control system to provide notification when maintenance is required.

System Protection and Temperature Control

Pressure-bypass arrangements can help protect the pump and heat exchanger if the oil is cold, highly viscous or flow through the cooling circuit becomes restricted.

For water-cooled systems, a water-modulating valve can regulate cooling-water flow according to oil temperature.

This allows the heat exchanger to cool when required while helping maintain a consistent oil temperature returning to the gearbox.

The final protection and control arrangement is selected to suit the operating requirements of each application.
