When a Standard Cooler Won’t Fit
Replacing an industrial heat exchanger is not always as simple as ordering another unit from a catalogue.
The original cooler may be obsolete, imported as part of a larger machine or unsuitable for the conditions in which the equipment now operates. Replacement lead times can also be lengthy—particularly when technical information, drawings or an equivalent standard model are unavailable.

From Existing Cooler to Engineered Solution
The cooler featured in our latest video arrived in Australia as part of an imported machine. Its cooling element was not suited to the application and was becoming clogged with debris.
Rather than reproduce the same design, the OEM Dynamics team assessed the failure, reverse engineered the existing unit and redesigned the cooling arrangement to allow debris to pass more freely through the cooler.
For this particular project, the redesigned replacement was supplied in less than six weeks—significantly reducing the lead time associated with sourcing another imported unit.
