Our latest workshop video follows one example: a cooling unit from a telehandler working on a farm.
Understand the issue
The unit was experiencing airflow and maintenance problems in its agricultural environment. The engineering team examined the existing cooler to understand the design and the difficulties it presented.
That assessment shaped the work that followed.
Engineer around the customer’s needs
The proposed solution needed to address the cooling arrangement while respecting the machine’s installation constraints.
The team selected a rectangular fin arrangement with wider gaps, intended to allow freer airflow and make trapped material easier to remove during cleaning. Existing mounting and connection positions were retained to suit the available installation space.
These are practical decisions based on how the equipment is used and how the product needs to fit.
Turn the design into a product
The video follows the work through jig preparation, modification and TIG welding. It shows the connection between engineering assessment and the hands-on skills needed to produce the assembly.
As Sam explains towards the end of the video, customers often bring OEM issues they are unsure how to resolve. Our team brings different skills and engineering approaches to the task of finding an answer.
